Avid is working to find a resolution for this problem. Initial testing of Pro Tools with macOS 10.14 has shown serious problems with CPU performance at lower buffer sizes. On their macOS Compatibility page they have said this… We understand there are some specific issues between macOS Mojave and Pro Tools 2018 and that the team at Avid are hard at work resolving them.
